Frost and Snowdrops
We have had a remarkably mild winter so far, such a contrast to last winter. The grass has stayed lush and green and the plants and flowers have been confused sending forth shoots and buds; we had banks of Daffodils in December! Snowdrops and crocuses are already carpeting the forest floors and under hedgerows. The past week however we have seen a change and had to brace ourselves against a series of frosts. It has been lovely though to have the clear blue sunny skies and bright starry nights. I only hope the poor early flowers don't suffer too much.

Thank you. It was beautiful but chilly; we were glad to get back to the woodburner!
